Re: Blake's 7: Why No DVD Release In North America?
From what I recall Blake’s 7 was primarily shown on various PBS stations in thE US much like Doctor Who. Unfortunately I don’t believe as many PBS affiliates showed it. As for Canada, Blake’s 7 was broadcast by YTV in the late 80s. Starlost was broadcast in Canada on CTV, while it was syndicated on ...

Re: My Wife Next Door (1970s BBC sitcom)
I remember seeing it as a very young teenager - I must of been around 12-14. While I may not have got some of the jokes but I remember enjoying it a lot. So much so the memory of the show kept with me for years and whenever I mentioned it to anyone, no one seemed to remember it. I picked up the UK D...

Blake's 7: Why No DVD Release In North America?
Blake's 7 was recently re-released on DVD in the UK celebrating the show's 40th anniversary. While the show has been broadcast in both Canada and the USA - mind you it's been years since the show was last broadcast here - and it's been years since the VHS releases from Canadian company BFS were del...

Blake's 7: Odd Question re Sales To Other Broadcasting Countries
Bit of an odd question... Does anyone know if Blake's 7 was or has ever been sold to TV broadcasters in Serbia?
Was just curious as I need to send a contributors copy of the recent Blake's 7 book I edited to a contributor who lives in Serbia.

Re: Threads (DVD Release) - A Few Thoughts
You clearly didn't get it - if you grew up in the UK in the 70s and 80s when nuclear war seemed imminent, Threads showed the madness of what we were all fearing. No I grew up in Canada in the 70s and yes the threat of nuclear war was present on people's mind here even then (how couldn't it be when ...

Re: Doomwatch--What missing episode would you like to see?
I know the series was sold to the CBC and it was broadcast here. I don't recall it being on mind you I was probably around 11 or 12 when the CBC aired it and I don't think my parents would have let me stay up to watch it.

Threads (DVD Release) - A Few Thoughts
Several weeks back I finally got around to watching the DVD release of the nuclear holocaust drama "Threads" . I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on the production. Over the years I've heard and read much about this one-off drama but had never seen it until recently. I don't recall this ever be...
