Re: Most in need of a reissue.....

It doesn't tend to go for outrageously daft money - even if it's still beyond most people's wallet and common sense - but I'd like to see Star Cops back in print. Mainly because I'd like to own a copy! And if nothing else it'd put a spanner in the works for the people who've been coining it in with ...

Re: Threads (DVD Release) - A Few Thoughts

Just in case people have forgotten it exists, the BBC Radio 4 documentary from 2015 about The War Game controversy is still available to listen to.

Re: TV Series Novelisations

Not a novelisation, but I discovered last week that David Rudkin's script to Penda's Fen was published in hardback in the 1970s (ISBN: 0706701879). I can't say that I want a copy, but from having a look around it appears to be a bit of a rarity and I suspect it's one that will be priced accordingly ...

It's meant to be out on Blu-ray from Indicator before the end of the year, so people might want to forego TP and start anticipating a significant upgrade.

Re: The Starlost (1973-74) Canadian Sci-Fi

Some of the compilations were certainly shown in the 1990s. In fact, I've got the original Radio Times listing for one of them right here. Anyway, while I was listening to the football I did some digging through the Times archive for some dates. That's a way of saying I was totally bogged down in wh...

Re: Ace of Wands - 'Eye of Ra' audios

It's supposedly Episodes 2-4, but I haven't got a clue where I originally got that info from. It'll either be here, the old board, Roobarbs or the Missing Episodes forum.

I've only ever got my hands on the first two episodes of Nightmare Gas and they're pretty terrible quality.

Re: Killed Off!

The one that completely floored me, along with the rest of the audience, was Lisa Faulkner in Spooks. I had absolutely no idea she was only there for the first couple of episodes. And what a way to go! And then there was the short-lived trend of killing off supposedly regular characters in the openi...

Re: Website That Listed Books Published based on TV Series

That's the one. It was taken offline as the site editor got feed up putting in all the effort to collate and host the site just for content to be poached by other sites and blogs. It was just Google actually. I'd add all the interesting bits, Google would quote it on their Google books pages, and y...

Re: UK/British Telefantasy Series 2007-Present

I think I might be able to help. If you open this link in a new tab and click the Download option at the top right (make sure you select Direct Download) you'll find a ZIP archive with two Excel files inside. One is a list of UK telefantasy series and episodes and the other an overseas equivalent. B...

Re: Doctor Who Classic Series and DVDs

The original Shada video footage will have to be deinterlaced and slowed down to 24fps for bluray. That's going to look quite horrible. There's no need to slow it down to 24fps for the UK BD. It'll be 1080i50 and look just like it should do. As an added bonus it'll be the best picture quality it's ...

Re: Alien TV drama.....anyone recall this?

Any possibility of it being a year or so later?

It could be the ITV Playhouse episode Friends in Space from 1980.

Those three went through the BBFC back in the early 90s when the handful of UK videos were released.

Has anyone actually heard copies of The Naked Sun and Beach Head, or is it just rumour? It's not so much a rumour as info Christopher Perry got direct from the BBC. He posted the details at the Missing Episodes forum last year. http://missingepisodes.proboards.com/thread/8571/out-unknown-sun-audio-...

I got round to opening my Public Eye DVD pack yesterday and they won't play on this computer. Callan works fine. I have try some experiments on other machines next and try to work out the problem. Network's discs seem to very temperamental when it comes to using them on a computer - I've seen some ...
