Re: Worst-remembered line in TV?
Of course there's the generic "Beam me up, Scotty" from Star Trek which was never said in any of the episodes but is often quoted.

Re: My Wife Next Door (1970s BBC sitcom)
I remember it fondly as I had a crush on Hannah Gordon, it must have made an impact as Hannah was a guest on the Morecambe and Wise 1973 Christmas show

Re: The All-Purpose Current Doctor Who (2005-) Thread
A couple of things about the last series endings: The retcon means that William Hartnell is no longer the first doctor which is an insult to the franchise. Secondly the doctor is no longer a Gallifreyan timelord but is in fact a regenerated version of the Timeless Child who was killed/murdered many ...

Re: The All-Purpose Current Doctor Who (2005-) Thread
Yet another issue led episode this week, this time mental health. I realise that this is something to be addressed but surely not in what is supposed to be an sf programme. Additionally the heavy handed preachy way that all of the recent episodes have been dished up is almost certainly putting off t...

Re: The All-Purpose Current Doctor Who (2005-) Thread
It was certainly an improvement on recent episodes and it makes a change to have a storyline to think about. I only hope that there isn't a cop-out resolution.

Re: The All-Purpose Current Doctor Who (2005-) Thread
Too many mini plot lines relating to family in this weeks episode so none were properly developed and so didn't really grab the attention. Could have done without the OTT climate change speech by the Doctor being forced down our throats.. please don't preach. But then again this is the BBC who seem ...

Hate the new version of the theme ...where's the bass! Please go back and listen to the original version.

Re: Re-formatted shows
Between The Lines pretty much changed for each of it's three series. The first was straight CIB with Clark, Naylor and Connolly investigating various possible corruption cases within the force. The second had Clark getting embroiled with MI5 and the third had Clark and Naylor freelancing. Always goo...

Re: The All-Purpose Current Doctor Who (2005-) Thread
The Last Dragonslayer on Sky 1 was so much better pity it will only be seen by a small audience. It's the sort of thing the BBC should be investing in instead of milking a very tired Doctor.

Re: One-series wonders
I would have liked the Beeb to make another series of Star Cops.....ok now I'm going to run for cover. Why? I'm not aware there's ever been any negative consensus re Star Cops I'd have liked more Crime Traveller and Moon & Son Agreed Crime Traveller was an interesting one. I think they had to decid...

Won't be missed. I see the late evening repeats of EastEnders have been taken over by W, wonder if they'll do the same with Dr Who when it returns.

Welcome news, just a shame that the BBC is contractually obliged to spend most of its funds on cookery, property and antique shows so it can't afford to produce good drama like this itself.

Re: Great titles/terrible titles for TV shows
I've never liked ITV's need to include the author of the source material in the titles; Agatha Christie's Poirot or Agatha Christie's Marple!! as opposed to who? Alan Titchmarsh's Marple,Ant and Dec's Poirot, Simon Cowell's Othello?
