The building style looks the same but the lower windows are now all smaller than the end credits show - so unlikely to be there.

The Old Grey Whistle Test - John Lennon on Now80s

As a part of their John Lennon week - Now80s are showing an episode if 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' on 9 Oct @ 9pm. I suspect it is the 18 Apr 75 episode rather than 30 Sept 75. Bob Harris presents a complete edition of the BBC music show from 1975. Including an long interview with John Lennon who al...

Re: Talking Pictures - I wonder why?

Smokescreen airs on Talking Pictures on 24 Aug at 6.30pm I've lost count of the number of times the Jack Warner film Jigsaw has been on - it's on again this week - perhaps the copyright has expired? Not that it's a bad film, but Smokescreen, with Peter Vaughan, of the same era and also partly set in...

Nice one Don - your code still works for a 12 month sub. If you start the free month first then apply the code to your account - you get 13 months. The good thing about Acorn is the same login works on US and UK platforms (like Disney+) - the US selection is much much bigger. Britbox requires differ...

HTV had gone off the air quite early in the action. I suspect the definitive answer as to whether part 4 aired in ATVLand on 9th Aug is lost in time ?? TV listings show it - but it could have been pulled last minute. While some might say that it's a barmy thing to have done without additional info b...

Just to add to this - it looks like ATV were the host of this series and they didn't go off air until 10 Aug. Thames TV had gone off-air several days before. So it could be ATV still played the programme out to a few regions still on air. When the series restarted that re-run all the episodes in the...

I saw CS was delayed - but was not schedule for the initial day. I wondered if a backup option was available on the first day.
But I suspected that 'in effect' the network playout cables were cut from the Granada end for any Granada production.

Haven't watch this yet but I see it is on Netflix US in 4K/HDR with 5.1 audio.

UK viewers had the choice of either 4K/HDR or 5.1 - but not both.

I'm surprised iPlayer is still unable to do 5.1.
