Re: Peter Wyngarde (1927(?)-2018)

Fancy! One of my childhood heroes. As well as Jason and Klytus, he was great in Night of the Eagle and many ITC shows. Thanks for the memories Peter

Re: Still With Us

It's alarming when you realise that everyone you remember from when you were growing-up is either dead or over 70! I was relieved the other day when I heard that Peter 'Herman' Noone is neither of the above. He sang the hits just the same when we saw him recently in the 'Solid Silver 60's Show'. Pr...

Re: Danger 5

In my opinion they tried too hard. Its a hard act to follow and spoofing ITC type series is a lot easier than "the 80s", but in my opinion ep1 wasn't a patch on series 1. Hopefully it will improve.

I enjoyed the Matador very much, its just a shame the Sid voice was so far off the original when the others were so well done. Looking forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed it and yes Ian McDiarmid was really good, I liked his growing realisation of his vulnerability. That unusual music seemed much less after the first instalment, which was a good thing. It's a pity that tension couldn't really be built with the outcome known to everyone. <Spoiler> app...

Re: PR: The Wackers: The Complete Series [Network]

Watched all of this last night. There's a bit of toilet humour, some "permissive society" bit and some religious bits which might be why it got pulled, but its extremely tame I'd say.

A fairly enjoyable sitcom for me. I liked it. The two leads are always good value in my eyes.

Re: The Galton & Simpson Comedy

excellent. I have also just found that at least one episode of this was repeated on Channel 4 in 1992 as part of 'T.V. Heaven', hosted by Frank Muir, so must be around somewhere.

One episode has Patsy Rowlands, I must have this!!

The Galton & Simpson Comedy

Whilst I have the excellent Network The Galton & Simpson Playhouse DVD, it got me wondering if the 1969 series of the above name exists at all?

Especially as they wear the same costume every show, and I'm guessing they probably film at least 2 at a time!

By the way , the kids LOVE this show. Eye patch, pirate hat!

Obvious it had a huge debt to Treasure Hunt, but it wasn't that complex. Two contestants had to find keys and rendezvous without being zapped by a baddie.

The Interceptor himself was a great character: tall, handsome, Scottish and quite scary.

Yes, the YT clip is unrelated. That's a cover version and, as you say, trailing a rerun of proper series.

Cracking series this one. I think I only got 1 out of 10 this series and Anouska's lips and flicked hair keep driving me crazy (in a good way). JP's hair is best in episode 2 where it's kind of brycreemed at the sides, looks great :)

Utter tripe execution with unbearable canned laughter unfortunately. I won't be watching this again.

Shame because the script seemed fine and the stage show I enjoyed a lot, but in my opinion it hasn't transfered at all.

Mark was right though, the doc was good.
