Re: Boss Cat
How on earth that cartoon series could have been mistaken for a cat food commercial completely escapes me. You might as well say that the BBC shouldn't have called one of its programmes "Nationwide" in case people thought it was advertising a building society! Well, the building society WAS named a...

So tempted to say that it was a movable feast... I saw the second half, and correctly predicted the use of "don't let the bastards screw you done",and anticipated the Harvey Smith, though I didn't see the pineapple chunks coming. To play the main characters, you need actors who have,or can successfully...

Re: Sitcom jokes that no longer work
In the 2nd series of Bless This House there's an exchange about Sid's son Mike having a job you don't get paid for to which Sid replies "There's only one job you don't get paid for and the Milkmans Horse has got that" I would've thought that even in 1972 this joke was a little dated. As the only mi...

O/T,but for another 1984 story 'Paki Basher',IMDB have no plotline and ask "Do you know what this is about?". That was the last Crown Court to be broadcast. It caused a problem when Legal TV repeated it in 2007, as Sky's EPG demanded they change the title: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2007/jan...

Which makes the original series' release on DVD less likely,I suppose.
Not 100% sure that 'Miss Gullet' (one of the teachers) won't be re-named.

It was announced in February 2015 for a date a few months later, then shifted to August, then October, then, apparently 2099. The next we heard of it was that it's out, this week. But the 2099, bit, that's Amazon-speak for we don't know, isn't it? Plenty of releases shift hither and thither, don't they?...
