Re: Trashy European TV

Certainly remember the names of half a dozen of these directors, Fulci for New york ripper with Jack hedley amongst all his other shockers, think of the Italians and the genre they created, the mondo movies which inspired many sequels and rip-offs, Africa Addio and the restructured Africa blood and ...

Re: Inside no 9 live.

I was wondering how many people did the same? we live in this era of bite size chunks of entertainment.I thought it was a bit suss' when the chosen replacement episode turned out to be "A quiet night in" which was mostly silent anyway, Only hope these two don't burn themselves out too soon, remarkab...

Inside no 9 live.

Wow i'm breathless. 30 mins of live, mostly, all original television with echoes perhaps of Serling's Twilight zone, so much going on during a live broadcast complete with technical breakdowns and a announcement from continuity apologising for just that, live tweets from the cast in real time! the mo...

Thank you Stearn, thats it! i even got the time right 6.35 on a Sunday, although its a few years earlier than i thought, i would have been 13 at the time but it made an impression on me the bits i saw because of my father, amazing. Re: 'Drama She Wrote' season: BFI September-October 2018

I've enjoyed reading and keeping up with this thread and am not able to contribute to it, but regarding forgotten tv drama there is one very strange almost absurd drama series that aired during the god slot, must've been late '60s early '70s produced i'm sure by ABC for itv network screened @6.35 -7...

Re: Audio of missing TV, or TV with audio missing

I'm glad other people used to record from their tv on to reel to reel tape recorders, i used to tape theme music from mostly U.S programmes, all neatly so they played one after the other, and my other obbession was to tape the Universal logo music at the end of shows like Columbo to separate my pop m...

Wasnt that impressed with VTV too much obscure and not very exciting bits, guess they only had the choice of the less popular footage, copyright again, to use.
Still the best place to view nostalgia is that famous video sharing site no matter what you fancy, you will find it.

Adventures of Don Quick

Just caught an episode of this LWT show from years ago , perhaps 1970 on a well known video sharing site and it jolted my memory of of Ian Hendry and Ronald Lacy cocking up every planet they landed upon, one in particular springs to mind, and that is the take on Don Quixote tilting windmills, it inv...
