Re: Audio of missing TV, or TV with audio missing
The film inserts from the Orange Bicycle edition of Colour Me Pop (broadcast 26/7.69) as discovered in 2017 by Kaleidoscope are silent, and no off air audio is known to exist. The fllm inserts were made for 2 cover songs the band performed, which they never made studio recordings of. 'Let's Spend Th...

Long shot: Looking for Bob Edwards, researcher on LNLU
Hi there, currently looking for a chap by the name of Bob Edwards, who apparently was a researcher on Late Night Line Up in the late 60s. Reason is as part of my ongoing research into the show Colour Me Pop. I appreciate this is a complete long shot but just putting it out there on the off chance an...

BBC Photo Library: worth joining for obscurer photos?
Hi, I'm continuing my protracted research into Colour Me Pop and I am interested in getting as much visual material as possible: I was wondering if anyone had any experience of using the onine pay - per use BBC Photo Library at bbcphotosales.co.uk/user/register?step=0 and could advise if it would be...

Re: 60s sci fi play repeated on BBC 4 early 00s (identificat
[YouTube link removed] Thanks, having watched the clip above it turns out it was indeed The Newsbenders, I'd just remembered it very poorly as being in b/w and for some reason my recollection had transposed the plot of 'Second Childhood' onto it. Proof indeed that the memory cheats,, even 11 years on.

60s sci fi play repeated on BBC 4 early 00s (identification)
Hi, I'm trying to identify a 60s BBC sci-fi play I remember seeing shown as part of a 60s season on BBC 4 in about 2002-4ish. It was in Black and White. The plot concerned a man who was offered the chance at rejuvenation by an institute or somesuch - that's about as much as I can remember! The plot ...

Re: Out Of The Unknown: could authors have been sent copies?
Thanks for all the replies. Yeah I meant 16mm prints would be most 'likely' (if that's an applicable word in such an unlikely scenario). Imo the author that there seems a sliver more chance of this having occurred with would be Isaac Asimov, who was interviewed for the 2 editions of Towards Tomorrow...

Out Of The Unknown: could authors have been sent copies?
I was wondering about the outside chance that some of the original authors of the stories Out Of The Unknown episodes were based on could have been sent copies. I'm thinking particularly of the more well-known US authors who wouldn't have been able to watch the shows broadcast on TV but may have had...

Re: Flook : new Wally Fawkes interview and article
Thanks for the kind words David, glad you liked the article. I agree, Flook really deserves to be collected in the kind of quality volumes that Peanuts etc have been over the last 10 or so years. In the meantime, the best I can offer is the unofficial facebook page which periodically re-runs vintage...
