Your photo in the next edition, Spring 1967, is the same but additionally lists Jackanory (BBC), and Dixon of Dock Green (BBC).

Hello Jill,

You probably retained photos but this is your Spotlight entry for Autumn 1966, and mentions some of your work.

Re: Colourising old comics

Archaia have remastered and colourised the Space 1999 strips from Look-in and the US Charlton comics and magazines. A shame that the main compilation of what is obviously a major labour of love, and which has just been released, squashes the pages to fit an American graphic novel format. http://www....

Re: The Peter Cushing 'Dr Who Fannual' - illustrators requir

Hi Richard, 1) Will the artwork be in keeping with 60's annual style art? Not necessarily the Moody Blues album cover stuff, but meaning the artwork will look 60's rather than modern? That is the endeavour but some of the artists already on board use digital means of illustrating so it may look like...

FANWNAK (Dr Who fanzine) issue 7 - going cheap...

From the FANWNAK blog: It has come to light that there are a small number of colour issues of FANWNAK 7 with substandard print quality. Nothing major as they are mainly scuff marks. These only affect a handful of issues, so if you'd like one and live in the UK (not available at this price worldwide)...

Not a film per se but a feature length episode... does anyone know the reasoning behind the butchered pilot for SeaQuest DSV which allegedly had whole chunks excised on its debut in the UK? Were these ever reinstated for repeats?

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the earliest that the Kennedy assassination was reported on BBC or ITV back in November 1963? And how? Would there have been a news flash back then, or would it have waited until the 9pm or 10pm news? A friend's Dad worked for a news agency and told me once that t...

Re: News Flash

When Princess Diana died, i think nearly most of the channels on Sky had a caption telling viewers to tune into a news channel for some important news. That happened in the early hours of a Sunday morning, I recall, as I was up late in my lounge working on something, with the telly on but sound rig...

I watched the webisodes on the official channel on YT and thought it was great, so I sent off for the DVD shortly after it became available and I thoroughly enjoyed it (I figured that I buy so many DVDs at a high discount, that I could justify the reasonably stiff price and P&P for a single disc). ...

Re: Warrior Queen - The Complete Series [Network]

Are we getting any more Look-Backs?). I interviewed Network's designer Martin Cater a while back, and he though the possibility of further volumes to be unlikely, as the good examples of 1970s series was pretty much exhausted. It had given Network a chance to put out a few one-off episodes like 'An...

Being at college in Maidstone, I had a revelation of almost biblical proportions when I visited the small circular annex to the north of the town not far from the local army barracks (sadly I don't think it's there any more as I can't find it on Google Maps*). The college library itself was fantasti...

Re: The Worst US TV and film depictions of Britain

Not a portrayal of the UK but I was bemused when accidentally leaving the subtitles on for 'My Living Doll' on DVD, and in the second episode for scenes set in a French restaurant, whoever transcribed them simply put 'French Language' whenever French was spoken. I know we have a slight advantage wit...

http://www.tech-ops.co.uk/bern/apollo11.jpg That leaves little room for doubt. That reminds me of the literal interpretations of decoration orders on the excellent Cake Wrecks Blog Some of those 'instructions get printed' cakes remind me of when I started in design on a local paper, and an advert got printed with 'WOB' (white out of black) at the end of it, which is an instru...
