Re: TVseries not shows that never saw the light of day

I have the Starlog Scrapbook Vol 1 from 1982 and in the back is a full page colour photo of Robby the Robot in a Sherlock Holmes costume complete with violin from 'an unaired pilot' called Holmes and Watson which was apparently made around 1976. I could find no information online - does anyone know ...

Yeh, but they were space Puritans. So naming their arks after English towns is basically mirroring the pioneers, you know with Boston and New Hampshire and New York. Any more? One one dome was 'puritan' - the Amish-like inhabitants of Cyprus Corners that Devon, Rachel and Garth (the series main pro...

Re: The Worst US TV and film depictions of Britain

Ever since I've seen the Starlost episode 'Mr Smith of Manchester' I've always wondered was this a Canadian writer's take on a futuristic version of a northern English city - warmongering and polluted to the point it is killing its habitants? Is that the show with Keir 'Cor, Dull, Eh?' Dullea which...

It's not quite the same thing, but something like The Avengers is just as far removed from the real GB - and a not too-dissimilar mixture of location and backlot - as the examples you quoted at the start of the thread. And they did it like that every week, not just for one story/episode. Now obviou...

Yes, though I wasn't sure how far the search went on the old forum and I think some sections remain corrupted? Even so, I've amazed it was 7 years ago! :-o

Unusually, the five Follyfoot annuals were - aside from features - all comic strips. On the other hand, the Black Beauty annuals were - features aside again - all text stories.

Re: Sweet Cigarette Cards

Not sure about a dedicated TV related checklist but I seem to recall - way back - finding an online catalogue (think there may also be print versions) of most cigarette card type sets. It was useful in tracking down the 'Space Patrol' set (which in itself was not directly related to the puppet serie...
