I hope it's ok to link to the site: http://www.pidax-film.de/product_info.php?products_id=434 It has german and english language versions and has the BBC logo on it. Re: The Fall - BBC 2
We've only seen episode 1 and I found the ending of that deeply disturbing...really not sure about watching episode 2...the only thing I kept thinking was that surely this must end with them catching the guy. For him to get away or have the detective falling for him makes me actually feel sick... Bu...

We caught it by accident, but agree...stunningly good!
And interesting about his attitude toward repeats...I've wondered why he never got shown. Would this still affect releases and DVDs after his death? It's a shame he wasn't repeated - I had forgotten how downright funny his stuff was...

I saw this film on TV when I was about 10 or 11...scared me so much, I feel a thrill of fear even reading this thread...perhaps I need to get it as a sort of therapy...XD I can't imagine why I saw it, though - I know we were fans of The Persuaders and Live and Let Die, so perhaps that's why I watche...

We discovered it on Netflix - it's consistently described as one of the best series on TV, so we thought we'd give it a go...
It's excellent...and we can boxset binge as much as we like since we're only on season 1...

I have for example no idea if Hugh Jackman can sing. He's pretty good, actually. One of my last jobs backstage as a dresser was on the NT Oklahoma when it was at the Lyceum...he played Curly and he was excellent... One of my abiding memories of the final matinee before it closed was of him taking o...

I was obsessed with The Pallisers - have the DVD, the BBC magazine they put out at the time, the books and the tie-in novel - it was a big part of my childhood...The Pallisers, The Onedin Line and Shoulder to Shoulder... The late Donal McCann played Phineas Finn...the Irish member...(childish snigge...

Re: TV Tie In Books
I found a 'TV tie-in' novel of The Pallisers...yes, that's right, one short novel...massively abridged from the original 6 novels by Trollope... It's by Tony Hussey, and has 'based on the BBC TV series' proudly on the front cover. And to be honest, I wish I had found it after I first saw the series ...

I have to confess that I didn't realise that Stanley Baxter was still around either...(according to IMDb, he is...) Blimey, I remember that! It was excellent. So, it never had a DVD release? Thats' really hard to fathom... Well, this is the year that we- no, I really (hubby is non-tech outside of his Xbox) - discovered that we could record 2 things at once on the Humax Freesat box we've had for a couple of years now, so we won't be adding to ratings at all now... we certainly will be making use of that feature in futu...
