Bob did the best with what he had. It wasn't his fault that Border, Tyne Tees and Granada no longer had their own locally based announcers and that everything was now done by YTV announcers.

Sad news.
He was on Radio Tees at one time, based just around the corner from me.
I never met him, altho' I did meet 'Me Mark' Page once.
RIP.
