Well he did compose "King's Road", the rather excellent theme tune to "Why Don't You...?"

And anyway, he had a radio connection in that he composed Theme One which was the first piece of music played on Radio 1 in 1967 (looks around nervously, sure that he'll be contradicted), and which featured regularly on the station in various rôles - both his own version and the cover by Van De Graff Generator - for years.

Remember now, caught the end of it. Also, I can't remember (a whole lot all of a sudden) whether I saw the doc on The Making of Sgt Pepper which obviously Martin would have been a big part of.
