Sad.

Lots of great roles, but "Kinvig" and "Rosie" were my favourites.

One of those "thought he already was dead" ones - but yes, RIP... :(

Tony Haygarth was the unnamed actor I referred to in my contribution to the thread about the death of Andrew Sachs back in December. He was sitting in an armchair in the entrance lobby at Denville Hall, smoking a cigarette (January 2016). A pal nudged me and said "Tony has dementia". He looked very much like my father, so I smiled at him and waved as I left. He waved back. RIP Tony.

Excellent in "Our Friends in the North", one of my great favourites.

Aww, that's terribly sad. (I had thought at the time you meant Richard O'Sullivan.)

I wondered who it was as well...it is very sad...so many great performances.

Loved the end of "Kinvig", where he walks off into space, hand in hand with Miss Griffin.
