I was only thinking of her when I was watching a (1966) Gunsmoke episode a couple of weeks ago when her and John Saxon played husband and wife. It’s incredible that they passed away only a couple of days apart, over 53 years later.

But that aside, she was a favourite of mine, one of those actors or actresses that was in “everything” on television from the 50s to the 70s, from Perry Mason to CHiPs. She also appeared in the premiere episode of The Outer Limits, played Richard Kimble’s sister-in-law in The Fugitive, and played David Mann’s (Dennis Weaver) wife in the memorable Duel - mentioned above - although it’s only a very small part. Plus movies like Firecreek, alongside James Stewart, and Charley Varrick with Walter Mattau.

She also had a very distinctive voice, instantly recognisable behind the 'ape' make-up in the Planet of the Apes TV series.
She had two separate, and very memorable roles - playing Zantes in 'The Good Seeds', and Dr Kira in 'The Surgeon'.
