"TV legend" seems the only way to describe him:

Des had the coveted BBC2 Monday night slot opposite Panorama and World in Action for a while. Here's an introduction I'll always remember:

https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/schedules/b ... 9#at-20.10

"A French feel to tonight's show. We have Jeannine Burnier... Mireille Mathieu... [exaggerated French accent] Max Bygraves..."

Maybe you had to be there?

Very sad news, such a great entertainer, his chat shows, the comedy and even the singing, despite what Eric said!

Someone who seems to have been a part of TV for so long.

As said...a Legend.
