Remembered, among other things, from The Prisoner 'It's Your Funeral'.

Didn't know till I saw this post, that's very sad indeed.

"Doctor Who", "Marco Polo" is the first thing I think of, but of course "The Prisoner" which also featured two of his "Who" co-stars, Derren Nesbitt and Martin Miller. and of course baddy Bradley from "Coronation Street".

Many great Film and TV appearances, including one of the regulars alongside David Jason in "The Top Secret Life Of Edgar Briggs".

A suave and nicely spoken Actor.

A very sad loss, R.I.P.

Just started to watch the BBC 'Lord Peter Wimsey' adaptations in which he has a major role as Inspector Parker.

In one of the interviews included as extras, Ian Carmichael claims to have suggested him for the role after remembering him from "I'm Alright, Jack". But he has no credit on that film. Was Carmichael misremembering? They did appear together in 'Heavens Above!' (1963), a different but less prominent Boulting Brothers comedy.

Not seen the film for a very long time, but he could have had a non speaking role I suppose, or maybe a few lines that were cut or something.
