Cristobal and Company

I've tried to identify this French series shown on BBC via Mausoleum Club a couple of times. I remembered it was about some children and a sort of clown/mime artist (not that appetising I know). Thanks to the wonderful BBC Genome I've found it - by accident. It just shows how useful the Genome project is.

I remember watching it all those years ago, but it's all rather vague.
I seem to remember one of them have a long sleeved tee shirt with hoops on.

So Cristobal wasn't actually a clown - it was just the French comic performance. It was the striped T shirt that stuck in my mind!
