I've seen a lot of wonderful things on Talking Pictures - from Ivor Novello in 1932 to some very good British B movies of the 50s and 60s. Not good quality but acceptable.

People mention low picture quality, but often the sound on some films that look good is a let down due to over use of noise reduction causing all sorts of audio artifacts.

The picture quality has improved considerably in the past few months (At least on Sky)

I'm quite addicted to the channel - Many of the TV shows they have screened I have heard of but not had the chance to see before.

The best I've enjoyed so far include Scotland Yard, The Human Jungle, Scales of Justice and The Big valley.

I find the British B movies from the late 50s to early 60s quite fascinating, both for spotting faces of young actors who went on to much better things and for sights and sounds of a Britain I remember from my early childhood that are now long gone.
