Just realised this.
You know when a show or film wants to crossover or homage something, but can't use the character, so they create a new, similar but different character?
Professor Paradox - the Doctor in Ben 10.
Two weird Transatlantic ones.
There was also a sort-of-crossover in MSW with the Harry Palmer films, with Guy Doleman playing a British secret service boss - codename "Corsair" who was essentially Colonel Ross (Doleman's character in the films - Palmer's superior). Trevor Eve and Derrick O'Connor were in the episode.
Similarly, Patrick Macnee appeared in a London-set/Hollywood-made Hardy Boys episode playing a bowler-hatted, umbrella-wielding secret agent called Mister S. Then, he played similar in Return of the Man from Uncle which had George Lazenby as British secret agent JB.

Alfred Hitchcock Hour: Diamonds Aren't Forever
It is on youtube and is essentially George Lazenby playing Bond.

When EON lost the rights to Blofeld, they still had a suspiciously familiar character appear in the pre-credits sequence of For Your Eyes Only, who then gets killed.

There are also a lot of people "playing their character" in adverts, without being identified as such.

Lazenby makes a similar appearance in the Man from Uncle revival in the eighties.

In the Return of the Man from UNCLE he's called simply JB, and the film OHMSS is mentioned to him.

And, slightly perverting the topic, but didn't both The Avengers AND the Man from Uncle have a sort of bigboss figure called Mother?

And Clint Eastwood's character The Preacher in Pale Rider is The Man With No Name in everything but name.

Colonel Ross/Corsair in Murder, She Wrote could easily be Doleman's Number Two.
