Don't remember it, and I don't have the relevant TVTimes to hand either, but... according to Television Today (23/05/1968):
The Sex Game will be a series of romantic 60-minute plays, about the trials of lovers who live happily ever after. Writers for this series include Fay Weldon, Nigel Balchin, Barbara Cartland, Leo Lehman, Shona MacKay and Margaret Drabble.
The title sounds somewhat at odds with the description, doesn't it? Not too surprising, then, that by 26/09/1968 the same journal was noting something rather different: that it would consist of seven "entertaining sophisticated comedies" written by Ernie Gebler, Anthony Skene, Fay Weldon, James Brabazon, Richard Waring, Donald Churchill and Leo Lehman. And those were indeed the seven writers.

Same publication, 14/11/1968, producer Joan Kemp-Welch was saying:
I feel that the public will welcome an entertaining, crisp and relatively happy set of plays. Most of the stories can be described as sophisticated light-hearted comedies although some have their cynical side and one at least has a sad and serious theme.
Worth noting too that Thames assigned production numbers to a further six titles, but didn't make them. And, unsurprisingly perhaps, as we're looking at 1968, the seven they did make are long gone.
We all have to eat a peck of dirt before we die.

Here's the entry in TVTimes for the first episode to give a flavour.

November 13, 1968

10-30 THE SEX GAME
MORA LISTER RICHARD PEARSON TONY BATEMAN
In The Lovemakers
BY ANTHONY SKENE

This new series is described by associate producer John Kershaw as "high comedy tending towards cynicism.” He says any accusation of immorality can be neutralised with s combination of luxury and comedy.

Kershaw adds, to make the point even clearer. "If a prince falls in love with I servant girl, nearly everybody says: 'Lucky servant girl'—even if the prince is married with five children." Emphasis in this series is on the way women play The Sex Game—often treating it as l battle against prejudice. Tonight's episode is about • twice-married, very wealthy lady (Moiri Lister) who threatens the comfort of her ex-husbands, who still share her home, by proposing a third marriage to a man the ex-husbands hate. Anthony Skene, who wrote the script, is having a ball this year. This is the third ITV series that has opened with one of his scripts The others: Frontier and The System.

Good detective work, well done!

What an intriguing series it looked, and some good writers there.
