Saw this at the time, but couldn't remember much about it.

Enjoying watching it on TPTV, interesting writing style, akin to "The Chief", with lots of moral/technical arguments and speech making.

Good cast, with a strong opening episode, Episode 3, was written by John Elliot ("The Troubleshooters") perfect choice when the subject of the Oil Industry comes into it, and a well written episode.

Looking forward to the rest of it...great theme tune as well!

Really enjoyed this series, ( would snap up a DVD release) mostly remembered the penultimate episode, and bits of others, but strangely not the terrific ending, very clever.

I thought the John Elliot scripted episodes were amongst the best, and also the wind power one from Bruce Stewart, ( also Penfold's opening and closing episodes).

From 1982, it's interesting to note the miners strike a couple of years later and of course Chernobyl two years after that.

Apparently there were complaints from the CEGB and the UK Atomic Energy Authority, and it must have got up the collective nose of the government of the day, it's perhaps no wonder Thames wasn't liked!
