The rules of Mornington Crescent - revealed!

Post by Brock »

The public launch of Genome gives me an excuse to mention one of the cheekiest billings ever: 23 December 1984 at 4pm on Radio 4.
Radio Times wrote: Every Man's Guide to Mornington Crescent

Raymond Baxter presents an examination of the greatest game on earth with contributions from expert players Willie Rushton Graeme Garden
Tim Brooke-Taylor and Barry Cryer
1: The History of the Game
Producer PAUL MAYHEW-ARCHER
(The Rules of the Game to be broadcast next week)
You will, of course, search the following week's listings in vain. (On air the non-appearance of the promised second programme was put down to "scheduling difficulties".)

They're not wrong about history repeating itself...

I just saw the thread title and went "Ahhhhhh!" Then I looked here and it was "Oh." LOL

It gave me a smile though. :)
