What has happened to Steve Punt?

The current series of The Now Show has been without Steve Punt. I have been wondering, is he OK? I hope he's not ill?

I don't know, but Hugh Dennis was absent for series 41 in 2013, so I don't suppose it's anything to be worried about - probably just other commitments. Miles Jupp missed nearly the whole of the last series of The News Quiz for similar reasons.

Apparently the audience were told he'd had a minor cosmetic operation, nothing serious. The Now Show's Twitter account has a message from him:
