When David Frost died in 2013, his son Wilfred inherited an archive of something like 10,000 interviews. He now presents a podcast series called "The Frost Tapes", mainly focusing on his father's US work in the 60s and 70s. Well over half of the footage has not been heard since its original broadcast, and some of it never aired in the first place.
There is one interview that doesn't date from that era. Frost interviewed all twelve Presidential hopefuls in advance of the 1988 election, but his interview with Joe Biden was never broadcast because he dropped out before the series aired. That was his first attempt at the Presidency - astonishing to think that he may be on the verge of getting there over 30 years later!
