Social media has just informed me that a new theatre version of Charles Dickens' The Signalman is being staged at the Red Lion theatre ... https://www.oldredliontheatre.co.uk/the-signalman.html.
I was curious to see if it was the same version that Jack Shepherd toured with which I saw in 2015 as a double bill with The Waiting Room. The adaptations are different, but there was something else that caught my eye during my search: Sam Shepherd also toured with The Signalman double billed with Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to you, My Lad (or rather, did the double-bill change through the tour?)
Got to admit that I would have slightly preferred Whistle than The Waiting Room, but are changeovers like this usual?
Film, stage, music, books and so on...
