From Buster to Wizard (I couldn't think of any comics beginning with 'A' and 'Z'...)

I've recently discovered a stack of pre-WW2 printing plates at the library where I work. They appear to be a comic strip featuring Tiger Tim and pals (the work of Julius Stafford Baker). I hope to pull some proofs of these in a few days but would like to date them precisely for archival purposes. The strip shows Tim and chums in a gymnasium with a rocking horse made by Jacko the monkey. The horse is meant to teach the other animals to ride, until someone puts a powerful spring beneath it, resulting in one character (in a sailor suit) being flung across the gym and landing with a crash. Any clues, anyone? Date needed.
