Cloris Leachman (1926-2021)

I never really knew who she was (being a British teenager) until Kermit the frog enthusiastically introduced her at the start of an episode of 'The Muppet Show' back in 1976 I think it was. From then on, she was logged in my mind along with all the other American comedians that the show introduced me to.

I think she was quite regular on UK tv at one time in imported sitcoms etc

Fondly remembered from a staple of my youth; Herbie Goes Bananas. RIP Cloris.

I remember her mostly from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and her own series, "Phyllis", a very funny actress.
