Just listened to the interview with Jane Merrow in the latest edition. Conversation is very enjoyable indeed with some lovely insights into the different leads in series such as "The Saint", "Danger Man", "Man in a Suitcase", "UFO", etc - and some really fascinating stuff about the acting scene in t...

Absolutely fascinating podcast about "Space: 1999" recently released by Fanderson here: https://fanderson.podbean.com/e/fanderson-podcast-8/ It featured Robert E Wood (whose book on the series from Telos I very much enjoyed) and David Hirsch (whose writing back in the 1970s and 1980s was something s...

Re: "Crackerjack!" ("CRACK-ER-JACK!")

This week's edition was one of the best things that we've seen this week. The comedy sketches were terrific - the one with the mice staging "The Italian Job" was very good and then the self-defence sketch which went horribly wrong but the cast coped with was an utter delight. Indeed, it's the "as-li...

Very sad news. "Gangsters" is an outstanding piece of television, and he contributed to so many other things I loved then and now. And he was a lovely man to talk to as well. Thoughts are with his friends and family.

RetroTube podcast: "Randall and Hopkirk [Deceased]" (1969)

A friend of mine flagged this podcast up to me and - having just heard one example - I think it's rather nice and I hope to listen to a few more. Basically, our two hosts Adam and Heather share some of their favourite shows from the 1960s to 1980s with each other and see what the other makes of them...
