I'm sure that if your payment card expires before the new date they will remind you and make it easier to find the open order to update payment. :-)

Re: Coming soon on Freeview Channels

I would say the print had a fair bit of wear and that the sound showed signs of a great deal of noise reduction, leading to some background "twittering" at the very start. I'm sure it made Lockhart's cold sound worse too.

Re: Talking Pictures - more 'No Hiding Place' episodes

More likely a worker there at the time who collected films and smuggled a few out. I know of a film dealer who bought a massive collection of films including 16mm and 35mm this year and said that TPTV had bought some. If so they are all gone now as I couldn't see any when I visited recently and hear...

I'm sure we had a World in Action (and maybe also a Survival) 16mm print shown in General Studies lesson in technical college in the early 1970's so I can confirm that.

I'm sure I remember that at the time they said that Thames had promised more overseas sales of the programmes. Of course that would have also meant more money, but possibly as said above the chance of more movies.

When I tried connecting an external hard drive it reported that the formatting of the disk was wrong. Perhaps the drive needs a certain type of formatting before it can be used. I can't remember now what it said was needed.

I just misread my clock this morning, but only missed the first 10 minutes or so. I was only trying to get half an hour lay in, but it spread. How ever an enjoyable episode again a show that had different directors for the Studio and film sections. I liked the view of the gallery during the in show ...

I always thought flat should be on one floor, possibly with a shared outer front door and apartment could be on two or more floors with a separate outside front door.

LOL! Yes, and the ones that say see photo below. It really is pitiful that organisation with world-wide news resources like the BBC has, is reduced to simply cutting and pasting news items from the web. I always read the "whats in the papers" page, and it's like rereading the "UK" section that I've...

I think that's what they were going to do (especially at weekends) when they announced the Covid induced "reprieve" for the service. A lot of weekend rail work alterations to service don't make it now and what I hate is the truncated pieces which are obviouly just the start of a web article. One was...

I'm sure I saw an Uxbridge to Hillingdon video on You Tube from someone who does them about every odd thing on the underground, Perhaps the writer saw that - I'm sure it lasted all of 5 minutes.

a big flaw in the "Up" series is that it needed more girls. And non-whites. I assume the gender/race balance was different when the series started. I have looked at my own primary school group photos There are 28 boys and 11 girls, 31 white 8 non-white in the class and the school was very near Brix...

When did Coronation Street become commonly known as "Corrie" anyway? I'm sure I never heard it when I was growing up in the 70s - not in my part of the country anyway (HTV West region).

Yes, always just "The Street" where I was.

Yes it was the character Roger Walker in the 2016 Swallows & Amazons that wanted to be a cabin boy. I wonder if that line was deliberate I don't remember it from the 1974 version.

Is Forces TV on Ch.97?

No Chan 96, 97 was a 3hr a day early hours of the morning reservation for an ITV channel, I believe was just a place holder.

In London TPTV is still on chan. 81 for me.
