Still With Us
I recall a thread on the old MC forum reflecting on veteran actors/actresses who are still with us, although in some cases no longer working. I thought I would restart the thread after mentioning on Roobarbs that Dora Bryan was 90 a few weeks ago.

no doubt more stars can be added

Nova Pilbeam? Goodness, she might have rare and wonderful memories of 30s Hitchcock. Young and Innocent is sheer pleasure - and wonderful model trains!stanbutler wrote:Olivia de Havilland (96) and Joan Fontaine (95)

Could I suggest that only people aged, say, 85+, are listed here? David Warner, for example is only 71 - nice that he's still around but hardly remarkable!

Re: Still With Us
I understand as of sometime in the 90s she no longer gives interviews about her career or films. Several docmentary-makers and book-writers have tried contacting her about speficic projects and she is no longer interested in taking part, which is a great shame. Although she hasn't worked since 1948 she could probably tell us a lot about Hitcock, British Gaumont and early other British cinema.andrew baker wrote:Nova Pilbeam? Here's an interview she did in 1990;

Tom Baker truly seems immortal, despite all those years carousing in Soho! Thank heavens! The world's a more colourful place with Tom in it.
Re: Still With Us
Graham Stark now 91 years old.
I always remember him in a sketch with Ken Dodd using a Hilda Baker like emphasis on the words,
"Have yooou got a bluuue, baloooon"
"You what?"
This went on for quite sometime.
I mentioned this to Ken Dodd last year and he came straight back and said that was Graham Stark.
That single sketch must have been over 50 years ago, but Ken recalled it instantly.

Nicholas Parsons - still presenting Just a Minute at 89. Hard to believe he's that old.
As far as I know, Stanley Baxter is still working at 86.

I noticed 84 year old John Bluthal in the Vicar of Dibley sketch for Comic Relief.
Could he have been one of the oldest ever contributors to this charity event?
