Can anyone identify these memories?

Post by Simon36 »

I’ve been asked about these and can’t place them. The person reckons they are from late Sixties/ early 70s.

The first involves what looks like a model/ toy tank which fires real bullets and kills someone who may be called The Colonel, or something like that.

The other is set in a country house where someone is researching the grandfather’s past, and uncovers a scandal involving him wandering around with no clothes on, or something like that. The person senses that this was a single play, and probably some kind of satire/ attack on the ruling classes.

Anyone??

The first one sounds like a scene from The Avengers episode "Game" where Antony Newlands' Brigadier Wishforth-Brown is done-in in that kind of way.

Alternatively, it might be the opening of The Persuaders! episode "A Death in the Family".

Thank you for this. I thought it sounded Avengersy but knew if it was it was probably a Tara K episode since I’ve still not seen any of those.
